You'd expect versatility from a loaf that takes two days to make, and this glorious bread doesn't disappoint. It's packed with roasted potatoes that keep it fresh for days and days, and infused with handpicked aromatic rosemary for a frankly unforgettable flavour.
About GAIL's
GAIL's believes in the art of honest breadmaking. We start with just four simple ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast, and we never add artificial colours or flavours. Instead, we seek out the best ingredients from where they're best, whether it's hand-peeled Bramley apples from Britain, single source unsalted butter from France, or plump juicy olives from Mediterranean groves. All our loaves are made by hand too, so we never need to add the stabilisers and preservatives that are an unavoidable fact of industrialised bread.
Our selection of classic and globally-inspired artisanal breads includes a range of sourdoughs made from 15-year old wild yeast starters. Allowed to rise slowly and naturally, these loaves take 48 hours to make and possess a mature taste and character that a mechanically processed loaf couldn't hope to match.

This Is The Business
Mine purchases have hit 3 for 3. Took some up to my pub card game a fortnight ago, and one chap ask me to include an extra for him next time I order. I did. You can toast it, cheese it, layer it with tomatoes, onions and mustard, smear it with warm herb butter. This difficult to get right recipe loaf is fast becoming a staple at my house, replacing most of mine, and challenged only by fresh cheese bagels in Michigan! I am going to order another, and try another in this product line on my next order.

Lovely bread
I really enjoy this bread. It makes wonderful garlic bread. I just cut it in slices almost to the bottom crust, spread each side with home made garlic butter then pop in the oven to warm through for 15 mins then it's even more fantastic!

Savoury, tasty bread
I was impressed with the regular sourdough so tried this - we found it delicious with anything savoury and particularly as bruschetta, toasted and topped with lightly sauteed chicken livers for example. I haven't experienced any problems with packaging, I keep it in its paper bag in my bread bin and it seems fine, although we eat it within a couple of days anyway so perhaps that's why..

I like this bread - the taste is pretty nice. However, I do think it's seriously overpriced.
