ok I suppose
I buy this garlic when I have run out of the fantastic french garlic which I buy around Xmas at the german market, which lasts for several months before sprouting. I find most supermarket garlic disappointing so am not expecting good flavour in the first place but this will do.To the veg buyer at waitrose, you definitely could do better!

works out cheaper than the larger pack
I buy one of these nearly every week and I'm not usually disappointed. Mostly large purple-skinned cloves which are easy to peel and last a few weeks without sprouting. These cloves have always been firm and easy to slice with a sharp knife. Occasionally though (I would say 1 in 5 times) I receive the small fiddly white-skinned cloves which the negative reviewers refer to; these are very annoying. This pack of 3 seems to work out cheaper than the larger "bunched garlic".

Pretty average...
Please can the bulbs be less shrivelled and not so tiny! I'm completely agreeing with all the other reviews on here about the sad garlic. I too, only buy this when I can't get down to my weekend farmers market.

Letting the side down
I agree emphatically with the negative reviews. I'm not so bothered about the annoying little cloves (although they do mean that I often throw quite a lot away) but the horrible, dried-up, stale aroma and flavour. Very odd, not at all like Waitrose's usual high standards.

Not fresh and rather nasty, I would have thought that Wiatrose / Ocado could source decent garlic
