Prepare & Use
Add margarine and eggs*
*or egg substitute
Recipe for a gluten free chocolate cake
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. In a bowl melt 125g/4.5oz margarine. In another bowl whisk 2 eggs*. Whisk altogether with Cake Mix. Pour the mixture into 2 greased 6in/15cm cake tins. Cook for 20 mins. Alternatively pour mixture into one 7in/18cm greased cake tin and cook for 25 mins at 170°C/325°F/Gas Mark 3.
Butter icing (optional): In a bowl mix 75g/3oz of butter or margarine and 175g/6oz of sifted icing sugar. Spread in centre or on top of cake.

Easy and very chocolaty
We all thought that this had a great taste and texture very similar to regular wheat based cakes and It was easy to mix, adding two eggs and 'butter'. Will buy again.

My son is allergic to wheat,gluten,dairy and egg so as you can imagine baking a cake is an absolute nightmare! What a find this was, I made it with Pure sunflower spread and Orgran No Egg mix but added a little extra water to make a runnier consistancy.It doesn't rise quite as much as a regular cake but so far it is the best thing I have found and it tastes really good. I will be buying again and trying other items in this range. Thank you Glebe Farm for making it possible for my son to eat cake!
