Product Description
Chunks of hake marinated in lemon juice and fresh coriander in a rich, aromatic sauce made with coconut, tamarind and ginger - warmly spiced with sweetly-sour kokum.
We use whole and ground spices and fresh herbs as ingredients in our Indian dishes free of artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives.

Prepare & Use
Heating:
Stir before serving.
Do not reheat once cooled.
Microwave Oven
B/650W - 6½ mins
D/750W - 5 mins
E/850W - 4½ mins
Microwave ovens vary: refer to handbook.
Remove sleeve.
Pierce film lid in several places.
Place on a microwaveable plate.
Halfway through heating peel back film, stir, re-cover and continue heating for the remaining time.
Allow to stand for 2 minutes after heating.
Check food is piping hot. If not, heat for a further brief period.
Oven
Electric - 190ºC - 25 mins
Fan - 170ºC - 25 mins
Gas - gas 4 - 25 mins
Preheat oven.
Remove sleeve.
Place on a baking tray in centre of oven until piping hot.
Remove from oven on tray and allow to stand for 2 minutes

really lovely curry
Difficult to find good fish curry, but this is excellent! Lots of proper pieces of good quality fish, and a delicious coconut sauce.

Excellent and change from chicken/lamb
A good tasty fish curry with a mix of coconut and tomato. Portion is plenty for one but that makes it rather expensive. As with all these Waitrose curries, they are not good value when bought alone but worth doing in the deals.

DELICIOUS BUT I JUST NOTICED FAT CONTENT!!
I have been enjoying this delicious curry as a quick meal once in a while but have just noticed that half a pack provides 81% of the RDA of saturated fat. Now I'm not a big eater but half a pack is not a full meal by any means and I would imagine most people would easily eat 1 pack as a main. They are therefore getting 162% of their RDA of saturated fat in one meal. I'm disappointed by the misleading labeling half pack not a full portion and that this seemingly light, fish curry has so much hidden fat. Not really helping the nations health Waitrose...

Delicious
For someone who doesn't eat meat, this makes a great change from prawns or veg. Generous pieces of fish, a lovely flavour.

The Best Curry !
Probably the nicest per packed curry I've ever tasted. The fish was delicious and meaty and there was plenty of it. Admittedly I wouldn't rate this a 2 chilli Medium spice it's far more mild than that however I prefer it this way. Also like the fact this is coconut based,great for us Lactose Intolerants :) will be purchasing time and time again,it's well worth the £3.99. The fat content is high, but coconut milk based products always are..everything in moderation :)
