Bordeaux 2009
This Bordeaux presents a fine, deep, brilliant ruby-red colour. In the nose, it offers intense aromas of ripe red fruit and a very pleasant vanilla note. It is appreciably full in the mouth, with good aromatic concentration.

Usually lovely, occasionally variable, good value
We've bought this many times and it's usually very gluggable - a great value everyday wine in the same vein as the Nicolas "petit recoltes". Once or twice it's been a little on the harsh side, but never undrinkable. The worst it's ever been is still better than you'd expect for the money, and it's often as good as wines twice the price. Obviously it's bought in batches from various producers, but the variability is really part of the fun. I almost always stick a bottle or two in the trolley and have yet to regret it.

Exactly what it says on the label
Excellent for the price. A great staple to have in the rack.

Great ordinary wine
For the price this is an excellent wine from the Grave region if I remember right. Not a fancy AOC but really good drink! Grave by the way produces some really good value wines that don't break the bank - so good spot there Waitrose!

Lovely easy to drink day to day wine
Nothing fancy and wouldn't take along to a dinner party but very nice for a glass of wine after work. Very easy to drink.

a lovely every day wine
if you favour new world wines, this may not be for you - it is a robust wine with no "velvet" or "vanilla" or "softness" and plenty of tannin - for me ideal but always a matter of preference. marvellous value imo
