The Gressingham Duck® is a remarkable breed, grown on Red Tractor assured farms in East Anglia and famous for its meaty succulence. Gressingham whole duck is fantastic with roast potatoes, vegetables and gravy.

Oven cook - From Chilled. The easy-to-cook duck
Here are the details on roasting your Gressingham Duck® from chilled.
Preheat the oven to 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas Mark 7.
Remove all the packaging. Take the bag of giblets out of the body cavity (they're useful for stock).
Weigh the duck without the giblets. It's important to do this - don't just use the weight on the label, as that includes the giblets.
Place on a rack in a roasting tin, prick the skin all over and rub a teaspoon of salt into the skin.
Roast in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes per 500g, plus 20 minutes extra.
Rest the duck for 10-20 minutes.
All ovens vary in performance, this is a guide only.

So succulent

I bought two ducks on a half price deal. Fantastic value for money and so amazingly tender and succulent. I have two large men to feed as well as two of us girls hence buying two ducks. There was more than enough plus left overs. One duck would not have been enough though. Made gorgeous gravy from the giblets too. Highly recommend you try.

Duckling!

It said it served 2-3. It barely served one. Ended up having a Sunday lunch of potatoes and veg. Tasty but tiny and I would never buy one of these again. The packet of breasts on their own are great though.

Good

Young duck with soft meat good for oven cook or pan fry in pieces. Tastes quite good. Well prepared giblets. Cleaning could be better.

packaging still leaky

Like others have noted years ago, the packaging does leak a bit. As for the duck itself, it's good if on offer.

Small, expensive but tasty

After packaging and giblets removed, our weighed less than 1kg and fed 2 adults and 2 small children. Would only buy again for a special occasion and on offer.
