Not so good now they've been changed
I have used these for some time with my eldest and loved them but sadly they have been changed, no longer do they wrap underneath the mattress but now they are smaller and have sticky corners which come unstuck from the mattress and stick to the dry nite making it unusable. ok if your child wets more often than not but i wont buy any more

Excellent product
We are training our toddler to go through the night nappy free and these are fantastic, we put them on the top of the sheets as my toddler finds them soft to lay on and they are super absorbent the sheets so far have stayed dry and all we have needed to do was change the bed mat in the night if he has an accident. I wish I knew about these recently when I had my second child as they are quadruple the size of the pads that the midwives give you! Would recommend!

Excellent
I have a four year old who sometimes wets the bed as he is such a heavy sleeper and never wakes. These mats are great. They have always contained a 'full bladder' load. I was fed up changing the 'proper' mattress protectors and the sheet in the middle of the night. Getting those mattress protectors dry in winter takes forever so I looked into these. These mats do make the child slightly more wet unlike the proper mattress protectors which seem to disperse the liquid better, but you can just throw these away and then just change the sheet. Much less hassle when it is 2am in the morning!! Great to pack in the suitcase and take on holiday or to the Grandparents. It has long flaps at each end to tuck in under the bed so it stays in place. Unlike the other reviewer, it has never made my son hot and sweaty. I place it under the sheet not on top. Not sure what other people do, but this works well.

does the job
Not as soft as the other well known brand but works just as well although moves a bit more. Much cheaper so that is a bonus.

No longer buying these
These were good for years but now they have removed the huge flaps which tucked under the mattress either side and given us sticky strips. We use belt and braces so we have a protective fitted sheet on the mattress then a bed mat then a normal fitted sheet over the top. The new sticky tabs on the bed mats removed the protection from the protective fitted sheet. This is quite expensive to replace as it is a fabric one not a plastic sweaty one. I buy their competitors bed mats now.
