Regional Information

It is unanimously agreed amongst international critics that Marlborough is one of the worlds best areas for growing cool climate varietals.
Where the Insight vineyard is located is unique too - all due to the topography. Throughout the ripening period, it is very hot during the day and then very cool at night. This extreme change in temperature means intense flavour development during the day and preservation of those flavours at night.

The perfect match for Thai cuisine

Rating: 3 star out of 5

Decent, but not nearly as good as it once was

This used to be my favourite white, easily worth the extra few pounds. Two years ago it was fantastic, last year's vintage was very good, but this year's is only okay. It's decent, but not worth the price anymore, which is a real shame. I love gewurztraminers, so I wish Ocado would stock more of them.

Rating: 5 star out of 5

Gewurz can be incredibly inconsistent: often sickly sweet or lacking in crispness. This is fantastic though. Fifteen quid is a lot of money for a bottle of wine, but you can taste every penny in this. There's enough acidity to cut through a rich meal but the fruit is still full on and it's crispy as you like. A wonderful drop.
