makes 4 delicious thin crust Italian style pizza bases
Isabel's developed this authentic tasting pizza base mix with the help of Salvo's, one of the UK's top 5 pizzerias.
The challenge was to create a gluten & wheat free pizza base "Just like mama used to make".
By using only natural Brazillian allergy free flours & the experience of both Isabel & Salvo's. A delicious, gluten free, thin crust Italian style pizza base was made that is chewy, crispy & tastes like pizza should do.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Prepare & Use
To make 4 pizza bases:
- 300g Pizza base mix (2 sachets)
- 200ml of cold water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large egg lightly whisked
- Corn flour
If using 1 (150g) sachet, halve the quantities & use a small egg.
1. Preheat the oven to 200ºc (180ºc for fan assisted ovens), Gas Mark 6
2. Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Knead well until dough is silky & pliable. Divide into 4 balls.
3. Roll out each ball into 20cm (approx) diameter & about 2mm deep, then dust with cornflour to prevent the dough sticking.
4. Bake on non stick tray for 20 minutes turning half way. Remove from oven & add topping. Bake until toppings are cooked.
For best results avoid using tomato sauce with too much moisture. Try adding the topping on the base without part baking, the base might be a little chewier in the middle, but you might enjoy it!
Roll out any unused dough, cover with cling film & freeze to use later

Delicious for whole family
It's so nice to offer my coeliac son a gluten-free bread product tasty enough for us all to eat with him and genuinely enjoy! Cook the bases until they puff up, then squish them down and add your topping. Also can freeze once rolled out and then stick bases into a hot oven for super quick dinner!

So easy to mix and roll out. I have no problems with Gluten, but this is just a great product - makes great thin, crispy, fresh pizza bases.

Useful
These were easy to mix and once rolled out will freeze well ready for a quick pizza. My first attempt was not good as I didn't pre-cook the base long enough so it was rather raw and soggy, but once I'm mastered this they produced good light and crispy bases. Puff up a lot when cooking which caused much amusement, but easy to pop and flatten to add your toppings.

Fabulous!
This mix makes fantastic, fresh tasting thin crust Italian-style pizzas. We love it and although I am not the one who needs to eat a gluten-free diet I much prefer these pizzas to anything you find in the shops! I use a rolling pin to roll the dough onto a piece of baking parchment covered in corn four. Very easy.
