Product information

Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a premium Tennessee Whiskey. A warm amber colour with aromas of sweet vanilla, this is a smooth, full-bodied whiskey, with flavours of orange, brown sugar and spice, and a long rich finish. Jack Daniel registered his distillery in 1866, making it the oldest registered distillery in the United States. It's here in Lynchburg that every drop of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is still produced and bottled today. During its 150 year history, Jack Daniel's has won numerous gold medals around the world. Its success can be put down to the unique way in which the famous 'Old No.7' brand is made, the same way it always has - using the finest corn, rye and barley malt; pure, iron-free water from the Cave Spring in the Distillery hollow; being mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal; and aged in hand-crafted charred oak barrels. It is this unique way of making whiskey and the extra steps such as charcoal mellowing that makes Jack Daniel's what it is - a smooth sipping Tennessee whiskey and not a bourbon.

History
The oldest registered distillery in the United States is home to the world's best-selling individual whiskey brand.

Jack Daniel’s, the best-selling individual whiskey brand in the world, was originally crafted by Jack Daniel himself. Jack Daniel’s premium Tennessee whiskey is still made using iron-free cave spring water, and is charcoal-mellowed and matured at America’s oldest registered distillery, established in 1866 in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Jack Daniel’s is a culturally authentic brand with a long and rich heritage. The Jack Daniel Distillery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Since Brown-Forman purchased the Jack Daniel’s brand in 1956, it has become one of the most recognized American brands worldwide, with more than 10 million cases sold annually in over 170 countries. In addition to world-famous Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, the Jack Daniel’s family of brands includes Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey, the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection

Jack n Coke

It's really the only appropriate way to imbibe Jack Daniels. If you love whiskey, Jack doesn't rate, but for an easy beverage it's great to enjoy with Coke.

Better alternatives

Trust me , you would never pick Jack in a blind tasting. I've done it to numerous people to get them over their obsession with this mediocre overpriced whisky (it isn't a bourbon). Most people prefer Jim Beam , which is lot cheaper. If you can stretch to it , get Buffalo Trace or Woodford Reserve.

jack is jack

Jack Daniels is the top selling whisky of the USA, its ok, but its really just the Ford Focus or mondeo of bourbon. Try buffalo trace or eagle rare, then see if jacks still your number one.
