Coconuts are actually a fruit, not a nut, with a unique combination of nutrients that have made them a staple part of the diet of millions of people living in the tropics.
Coconuts are a rich source of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), fatty acids that are more easily digested than fats found in other oils. Around 50% of these MCFA's are made up of lauric acid.
Rich in M.C.F.A.s
Consumption of 'good fats' is an important part of a balanced diet, contributing towards healthy cell function. The fat in coconut contains 60% medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). Unlike saturated animal fats, MCFAs are not readily stored in the body but are digested and used as energy by the body.

Nearly+Perfect

This+is+a+fantastic+alternative+to+dairy+or+soya+milk+-+and+is+not+the+kind+of+coconut+milk+you+get+in+tins,+used+for+cooking.+For+me+it+ticks+nearly+all+boxes.+ Kara+has+everything+I+love+about+milk+-+mellows+and+gives+extra+body+and+yumminess+to+my+coffee+and+tea,+works+well+in+omelettes+and+pancakes.+I+even+started+using+it+on+my+porridge! It+has+none+of+the+things+I+dont+like+about+milk,+the+smell,+the+unnecessary+nutritional+compounds,+the+dairy+industry...+ I+find+Kara+has+more+body+and+roundness+compared+to+soya+milk.+Soya+milk+ticks+the+above+boxes+too+but+I+dont+like+the+way+some+of+its+been+produced+-+massive+plantations+in+South+America.+ + The+only+down+side+is+that+Im+now+using+milk+that+uses+raw+materials+shipped+from+the+other+side+of+the+planet...+but+thats+my+choice+over+locally+-+and+industrially+-+produced+dairy+milk! ++

What is the point ??

Don't waste your money . This product if that is what you choose to call it is 95% water . 95%!!! It tastes of 99% water . I think someone stirred a spoon that had been dipped in coconut milk into this liquid somewhere along the line . Will just buy coconut milk and water it down myself in the future . This is just expensive water .............

Great discovery

I've just discovered this alternative to regular milk and I love love love it! It's not too sweet or perfumed. Tastes good, particularly, when it's cold, and barely smells coconut. Very nice alternative!

Great with coffee

Unlike soya milk this is great with coffee and does not curdle. A friend recommended this. Was not sure at first... coffee & tea with coconut milk?? But to be honest, you hardly taste the coconut when it's in hot drinks.

Very unnatural

Contains 8.4% is coconut diluted with lots of water! Also added chemicals to stabilize it and make it look so white. I found it quite chalky on my throat. That must be the calcium phosphate. I added to my milk and when I finished there was white gooey clump in the bottom of my cup. I think I will make my own coconut milk without the added chemicals in future.

Sticky Rice with Mango

A classic Thai pudding and a hit with anyone who likes normal rice pudding. This is rice pudding with a twist, the twist being the coconut milk and fresh mango. You'll need to wash and drain the rice 10-20 times until the water runs clear to get rid of the starch - a great job for children. You can substitute granulated sugar for palm sugar but use palm sugar if you can as it has a lovely toffee flavour.
