This elegant and fruity wine comes from noble vines grown high on the slopes of the Luberon Mountains in Provence. It has been meticulously selected by Jean-Pierre and François Perrin, whose family has been making great wines at Château de Beaucastel for generations.
La Vieille Ferme (The Old Farm) wines are ‘the most drinkable of wines’.

Tasting Notes

This wine is a bright yellow with hints of green, with a nose of green fruit, corn and hazel-nuts. On the palate, this wine is soft, balanced and deliciously aromatic.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this wine chilled at 08°C/46°F with hors-doeuvre, fish or cold meats. This wine is also delicious as an aperitif.

First made in the 1970s by the Perrin Family (Chateau de Beaucastel) La Vieille Ferme was named after `the Old Farm where Jean-Pierre Perrin lived (and still does today). It is a simple, unpretentious wine made by a family for the pleasure of everyday and represents real value!

Regional Information

The production area falls mainly within the Parc Regional du Luberon, which is equidistant from Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Manosque.
The average altitude of the vineyards is 300 metres/1000 feet above sea-level, and the grapes are harvested relatively late.

Current Vintage


Vinification Details

The grapes are lightly crushed, then pressed in a pneumatic press, prior to clarification of the must and cool fermentation. This takes place in vats for 90% of the blend, with 10% fermented in new oak barrels with lees-stirring.

This is a really easy , unfussy wine, perfect for barbecues and light lunches in the sunshine. Really glad you are stocking it.

something has changed

we used to really like this cheap but good quality wine. it was out of stock for awhile, and now that it is back it is somehow different and sadly now undrinkable even for those used to bad happy hour white. depressing.
