The original style pf Champagne since 1760
The House of Lanson makes the difficult choice to declare Vintages only in years that can truly be considered exceptional. 1904, 1928, 1955, 1971, 1976, 1983 and 1990 are great Vintages that have gradually built the reputation of Champagne Lanson.
Produced only from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, and aged for at least 5 years in our cellars, each Lanson Vintage develops the aromas and flavours that typify the chosen year whilst also reinforcing the pillars of the Unique Style of the House: fruitiness, elegance and freshness.

Tasting Notes
Generous and intense on the nose, notes of candied fruit, dried apricots and almonds. The identity of the 2012 Vintage is revealed on the palate with notes of honey, brioche and dried fruits. The freshness blends delicately into a long and refined finish.
History
Maison Lanson owns a wonderful and unique collection of vintages, offering a balanced blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It has made the demanding choice to only declare vintage the years considered exceptional. Our great vintages demonstrate the capacity of Champagne Lanson to transcend time while retaining an incomparable freshness.
Regional Information
The Champagne region is characterised by a unique combination of terroir and climate. Only wine producers using grapes produced in Champagne's vineyards - land that spans approximately 70,000 acres - can label their bottles with this title. The chalky soil contributes to the lightness and finesse that is characteristic of Champagne wine. The cool temperatures of the region serve to produce high levels of acidity in the resulting grapes which is ideal for sparkling wine.

Vinification Details
Despite significant climatic contrasts, 2012 was a miraculous year that produced one of the greatest vintages over the past decades. The succession of unpredictable weather events, a tough winter with hard frosts combined with a spring where rain alternated with hail, gave way to fine weather in August. The exceptionally sunny summer enabled the grapes to ripen slowly and perfectly until the harvest. Le Vintage is aged for at least 10 years in our cellars to achieve a unique aromatic complexity.

Excellent Vintage Champagne
Lanson 2012 is a great vintage, this Champagne has good depth and complexity. Really fantastic honey notes. Drank with friends on the weekend - and all said how much they enjoyed it. Will buy again!!
