Brand
In the 19th century, Scotch whisky was frequently transported across the Glens in quarter casks, which fitted on a packhorse. When progress sounded their death knell, it also banished the greater intensity of maturation created by the smaller container - which offers up to 30% more contact between the oak and the liquid.

Excellent taste
This is a great drink to have, real good flavour, would definitely recommend as one the bests.
Flavourful
Smoky and peaty but also with a sweet flavour that drinks very smoothly, it's strong and powerful, I needed a drop or two of water, very good for the price point
Love this Laphroaig
Like all laphroaig I've had before this is smoky and peaty but still retains a smoothness. Compared to its siblings it is distinctly stronger and the aftertaste definitely has more of a roar. Perfect to drink neat for warming you on a cold winter's night.
Quarter Cask
Kind of whisky you need to be in a mood to drink. Very strong. Strong smokey peaty flavour which you can taste long time after having a glass which I dont really like that gasoline aftertaste.
Very strong
Very strong whiskey. It took a while to get used to it and found it a lot less sweet than the usual cheaper ones but after the initial few sips, I did start to enjoy the taste of it and my usual whiskeys I drink tasted quite weak compared to this one
Firework
This Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a firework in a glass! I adore the fizz that I get on the palate, slipping down swiftly thereafter.
