Made from milk collected locally near our cheese factory in Normandy, our master cheesemakers take time and great care producing and maturing Le Rustique Camembert. Le Rustique Camembert continues to ripen with time, so you can enjoy it however you choose:
- Young cheese: 35 days or more before the Use By Date
Texture: quite firm
Flavour: light and fresh
- Ripe cheese: Between 35 and 20 days before the Use By Date
Texture: soft and melt-in-the-mouth
Flavour: distinctive
- Mature cheese: 20 days or less before the Use By Date
Texture: very creamy, soft and melting

Delicious when baked
Love this hot and gooey. Being a single person I need to find a method of storing say a quarter of contents to bake whenever I feel like a nice snack. Can I freeze it? David

This stuff doesnt smell great, but it is delicious. A good quality camembert at a good price. Id advise to use a circle sized dish to cook in the oven as if you keep it in isnt can leak out, cut lines into the top of it, chilli oil salt pepper agave syrup and 20 mins at 200 and its perfectly cooked. Bang a baguette in the oven slice it up and serve with your favourite chutney and you have the ultimate snack. Proper comfort food!!
Very melty cheese \- have ramekin ready!
Lovely texture and flavour. I didn't realise until the oven was preheated that I needed my own ramekin and just tossed it on a small metal tray I had lying around, not realising it is SO melty that it just turns into a puddle! more of a feature than a bug, nothing to complain about flavour or texture wise.

Arrived ripe and ready to eat. Love this at room temperature or baked. It does leave a stink but worth it as it tastes great
