Product information
Intense floral and slightly herbal aromas, this juicy, medium-bodied wine has the fresh, dry finish typical of Verdejo and makes it perfect to enjoy with seafood, rice dishes and fish-based pastas.
History
The Codorníu Raventós family has been making wine since 1551 and in 1998 built the Legaris winery. Vineyard plots are purposely selected, grapes carefully handled and then benefit from state-of-the-art winery techniques, to produce a modern Verdejo expressing the great character of place that sets Rueda wines apart.
Regional Information
The Duero river runs through the centre of the famous Ribera del Duero D.O. Wine growing region to the north of central Spain. The vineyards are relatively high at 7-800 metres above sea level, and very cold winter temperatures are counter-balanced by the hot continental summer climate. The day/night & seasonal temperature differences combined with low rainfall, concentrate the grapes ripeness and bring out its flavour.

Vinification Details
Once harvested the grapes for this wine were destemmed and lightly crushed. The skins were then macerated for 4-6 hours before pressing and then fermented at a controlled temperature. The wine was then racked and left in its lees for at least two months before undergoing clarification and final filtering to ensure optimum stability and presentation.

Great wine to pair with seafood.
Gorgeous fresh and fruity dry white, perfect accompaniment to food. We had seafood for a special birthday dinner and enjoyed it so much with that. Serve well chilled Would buy again. .

Not worth it
Strangely watery with a sharp bitter/acid punch. First time we could ever remember trowing out a whole bottle of wine
