Product Description

The famous slopes of Burgundy produce some of the best Pinot Noir grapes in the world. Founded in 1797 Maison Louis Latour has a great tradition of harvesting, selecting and vinifying superb red burgundies. This is a classic well-balanced wine with great finesse. Its fresh berry fruit character and typical spicy burgundy earthiness are enjoyable with lamb, beef, game and duck as well as mature hard cheeses.

Very good value

This is a solid buy at £8.24. It's a simple, lighter burgundy with a peppery smell at first and flavours that open up over the course of an hour or two. Slight acidity and a clear garnet colour. Will definitely reorder in this price range.

hidden gem

Do not be put off by the poor generic label. This is a wine which outperforms a £20 ChNdP. Bought a couple in November, and subsequently laid it on for 20 people throughout the Christmas festivities..all thought it a 'fine wine'. Best value I have enjoyed for years...now my default wine. Von
