Product Description
Lustau
East India Solera
Sherry
Lustau East India is a carefully prepared blend of two fine quality mature wines; an aged dry Oloroso and an aged sweet Pedro Ximenez, made from sun dried grapes. Once blended the wine is returned to American oak casks to 'marry' together for a period of one year prior to bottling.
This produces a much smoother and more complex wine with great depth of character.
The term East India Sherry originates from the 16th Century when barrels of Sherry were sent, lashed to the decks of sailing ships, to the Indies. It was recognised that wines benefited considerably in quality from their long sea jorneys. Lustau East India is matured to reproduce its style.

Indulgence
This is a superb sherry and a complete indulgence. it's sweet but that shouldn't put anyone off, as it's also rich, complex, with suggestions of orange, spices, honey - a marvellous pre-dinner, after-dinner, or anytime drink. Once opened the bottle is difficult not to finish off!

delicious evening tipple
really lovely sherry, nice flavour not your typical 'aunties' sherry. Good value for money.

This is lovely
Sherry does not always mean syrupy and horrid. This is lovely; definitely sweet, but it is just delicious. Lovely to finish a meal or simply by itself. It's rival is the Lustau Mathusalem which is much more expensive.

Stunner!
Stunning sweet sherry of superlative quality with extravagant depths of classic flavours.. This is text book sweet sherry with an extravagant depth of flavour such as raisins, dates, elegant citrus, candied peel, caramel, spice and other hints all combine to give an elegant but wholly rounded and delicious treat. Serve with shortbread or Madeira cake, or just on its own. Great dribbled over almond cake in an English trifle to give a massive festive boost. Highly recommended.
