This Mississippi Mud Pie is Simon’s twist on the classic American dessert. This dark and tempting gooey pie is a chocoholic’s delight, made with chocolate biscuits, chocolate custard filling and decadent chocolate fudge sauce. It is a prefect dinner party dessert because you can prepare it ahead of time, then wow your guests. Part of our Daily Brunch with Ocado recipe collection.

Pecans and toffee are meant to be together, and nothing proves that like pecan pie. This classic recipe uses thick Carnation condensed milk, and is really worth the wait!

These Gingerbread Flapjacks are perfect for making with the kids this half term. They are a really simple bake to make with children of any age, under adult supervision. These flapjacks are packed full of warming winter spices for extra flavour while grated apple adds a gooey texture. Part of our Daily Brunch with Ocado recipe collection.
Pepperkaker, or "pepper cakes", get their name from the warming black pepper that was traditionally mixed in with the other spices. Many modern recipes leave it out, but I've included a smidgeon for old times' sake. You can cut these in stars, hearts, moons, Christmas trees - whatever takes your fancy - personally I have a soft spot for the classic round shape and traditional hearts. Do chill the dough overnight as it really helps to roll it out thinly, plus it gives the flavours time to develop. This dough freezes well, so you can bake half now and freeze the rest to bake another day.
This Salted Caramel Millionaire Shortbread is a rich and indulgent dessert, perfect for a party or simply an afternoon snack. The different stages may take some preparation but the end result is certainly worth it. For a more grown up version, Simon makes a salted caramel layer but you could leave out the salt if serving to children. Part of our Daily Brunch with Ocado recipe collection.
