mackies ice cream

Very under rated ice cream. Tastes lovely, old fashioned and natural. tasted it at a friends and have bought ever since. Very good value too.

Worth visiting the original shop

Lovely Ice cream, if you're ever near Eyemouth it's worth visiting the ice cream parlour and fish and chip shop where this is all made.

our favourite ice cream

this is lovely - sweet, creamy and natural. i much prefer it to vanilla ice cream, and don't miss the pods at all. this just tastes of cream and milk. it isn't too rich and goes with any pies and puddings. it's also gorgeous on its own - maybe with a drizzle of maple syrup. we love it in summer with sliced strawberries - no sugar needed. for me mackies original beats all the seriously posh and expensive ice cream into a cocked hat. my absolute favourite pudding is an espresso sloshed over a couple of scoops of mackies - simple and delicious.
