Prepare & Use
Cooking Instructions:
Oven Bake: Preheat oven. Wash the potatoes well. Dry and prick the skin with a fork. Place directly onto an oven shelf and bake for 1-1½ hours or until the skin is crisp and the flesh tender.
Oven Roast: Preheat oven. Peel and wash, then cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. Part boil for 10 minutes. Drain then shake the pan to roughen the surfaces of the potatoes. Heat 4 tbsp of vegetable oil in a roasting tin. Add the potatoes and turn in the hot oil. Bake on the top shelf of the oven for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Turn occasionally.
Fry: Peel and cut into chips. Wash and dry thoroughly. Fry in preheated oil at 190°C for 5-6 minutes. To mash. Peel and cut the potatoes into even sized pieces. Place in a pan with just enough water to cover, add salt if desired and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until tender. Drain well and mash with a little butter and milk, or some crème fraiche together with some freshly ground pepper

Will make good compost
These potatoes are dreadful, everyone black through the middle. I did get a refund but unfortunately they all had to go in the compost bin. Not your usual good quality product. I have bought the Ocado brand since.

Foul Black Centres
Purchased these last week. Waitrose and Ocado have got to do something about where they source these potatoes. On the outside, they look fine, but almost all the potatoes had black centres. I ended up just chucking the whole bag away. From the other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing problem and it is unacceptable that it is not addressed.

Black middles
80% of the bag had to be chucked away as they were black in the middle eventhoough then looked ok from the outside. Very dissapointed and wont be buying again.

Terrible!
Keep buying, keep trying, but every time these potatoes arrive they have black spots all over them and really not edible! Shame on you Ocado and Waitrose for supporting such low quality farming. At a relatively premium price you would simply expect more. Hope to NOT see these potatoes in the Ocado store in the very near future. Daniel

Woudnt order until they sort out the supplier
Ive now ordered these 3 orders in a row at the hope they have improved but they are still no good - most of the potatoes are rotten right through the middle - Im not sure if it is the weather this year but I wont be buying these again.
