Prepare & Use
Cooking Instructions:
Oven Bake: Preheat oven. Wash the potatoes well. Dry and prick the skin with a fork. Place directly onto an oven shelf and bake for 1-1½ hours or until the skin is crisp and the flesh tender.
Oven Roast: Preheat oven. Peel and wash, then cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. Part boil for 10 minutes. Drain then shake the pan to roughen the surfaces of the potatoes. Heat 4 tbsp of vegetable oil in a roasting tin. Add the potatoes and turn in the hot oil. Bake on the top shelf of the oven for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Turn occasionally.
Fry: Peel and cut into chips. Wash and dry thoroughly. Fry in preheated oil at 190°C for 5-6 minutes. To mash. Peel and cut the potatoes into even sized pieces. Place in a pan with just enough water to cover, add salt if desired and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until tender. Drain well and mash with a little butter and milk, or some crème fraiche together with some freshly ground pepper

Terrible!
I bought these expecting floury or perhaps slightly fluffy potatoes once cooked, but these are really waxy and impossible to turn into anything edible. When I tried mash I ended up with a pan full of shiny goo and potato wedges weren't much better. Afraid I won't buy these again.

Black
Terrible potatoes. Every one was black inside and still well inside use by date. Only a couple could be used in the whole bag.

These are NOT good spuds
We often find that these potatoes have more than their fair share of bruises and mould, and you find yourself cutting away and/or peeling off dark bits of potato. They also now seem to go very gloopy when we make mash. Something is the matter with these potatoes - they didn't use to be like this.

Never had a bad spud from these bags. Variety of sizes including a couple big enough for jacket potatoes most times.
