"Why don't you try something less boring instead?"

Reminds me of how oven chips used to taste years ago before frozen food companies developed the flavour to make frozen chips to taste a bit more like fresh home cooked. They are bland with a slightly soapy aftertaste. I like the 'skin on' chunky cut aspect, which is perhaps why they are labeled "rustic". However, the appearance is let down by the inclusion of very small cuts of potato which end up burnt while the chunky cuts cook. They are presumably there to make tge weight up but I would rather have an extra 2 full sized chips in place of 10 microchips. McCain's Homestyle or Waitrose Chunky Chips are much better.

Not very nice at all. Even tried a drizzle of olive oil before cooking which usually sorts out other oven chips but no, just not nice to eat.

Though I've liked some other McCain chips and am especially pleased they label as gluten free, this taste like nothing and the cooking time is wrong. Takes 25 to 30 minutes.

Honest chips

I've bought these 3 times now from various sources and they've been consistently good. They are mixed in size with some very large chips which can affect cooking times, but I tend to sort them which is a bit tedious and not on if you are dishing up for a family. That's why they loose a star. However - I like them. They are natural tasting. I cook them in the shallow tray of my Remoska or well spread out on a non-stick baking tray. Have weaned myself off the "Gorgeous" variety - lovely but fatty - and on to these.

Best Oven Chips Ever

Don't usually go for oven chips as prefer natural potatoes but these are are as good as home-made. Really nice with ketchup too!
