manufacturing error!
All of the bags in the box I've just bought are not finished properly...there is a continuous fold-over above the sealing strip. The only way to gain access to a bag fresh from the box is to do a spot of DIY and cut along the top of the bag with scissors, which leaves a ragged edge not easy to prise open. Not what you need to be thinking about when juggling ladles of hot sauce etc! Have not had this problem before, but it has put me off buying this product again.

Hole in the bag
I usually buy these in the other sizes. It may have been a one off but a dinner was almost ruined because the bag had a hole and let in water to something that I was defrosting.

Terrible
The tops of these bags often tear, making them darn difficult to use. I rarely get more than one use out of them. Very inferior to Ziplock and other brands. A poor move by the Essentials line which typically hits the mark.

So useful
I have been buying these for years and have found them to be of consistently good quality. They are a good size and strong - great for storing frozen food and for transporting baby's lunch when out and about.
