A proper pork pie
A pork pie to do Melton Mowbray proud - which can't be said for most MM pork pies sold in the majority of supermarkets. Light on jelly and high in pork content with a lovely, slightly sour, taste to the pork filling. I like Waitrose's attention to quality. Well done. A great pork pie.

Best Pork Pie in my life, so far...
Yet to have a pork pie better than this! Perfect balance, actual 'meaty' texture, no smooth gel like paste here. Seriously worth any extra.

Delicious
These pies are superb with lovely, crisp pastry and a tasty filling. The seasoning is just right, not too salty and, unlike so many pork pies, it isn't crammed full of that nasty jelly. Generally, I eat pork pies with mustard or chutney but these are so delicious that any addition would spoil them.
