a good white burgundy
Like another reviewer, I enjoy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but recently I've been looking for alternatives. Avoiding most new world oaked chardonnays, we've been trying White Burgundy. This one is superb - smooth and flavoursome. Good at the full price but unmissable when on offer. Highly recommended!

Excellent, clean, minerally Montagny
Montagny white wines are rather overlooked in the UK but the best ones offer excellent drinking for several years from vinification. This example has all the best qualities of Montagny, thankfully without being overpowered by oak. At full price it's a treat, but when it's on offer it's worth snapping up.

Not exceptional
I admit that I was influenced by other reviews. Having tried the first of six, I am not that wowed by this purchase. A dry white, which is fine by me. Certainly clean, fresh, alcoholic and not acidic - but even when discounted by 25%, I can find better value that works for me. An interesting excursion, but going back to New World wines.
