The best before date shown on this pack is a guide only. For your individual freezer, please follow the instructions below.
* 1 week from day of purchase (-6°C).
**1 month from day of purchase (-12°C).

Ice making compartment: 3 days from day of purchase. Refrigerator: 12 hours from time of purchase.
Do not re-freeze if allowed to thaw

Prepare & Use

For best results always coko from frozen. Cooking times are a guide only as variations bewteen differing appliances can occur. Ensure food is piping hot throughout before serving. Handle hot lid and container carefully). Do not re-heat once cooled.

- Remove from carton, loosen foil edge but do not remove lid.
- Cook on a baking tray in a preheated oven, near the centre of the oven, 230ºc450ºF/ Gas Mark 8 for 45-55 mins.
- To heat in fan assisted or combination ovens adjust heating times by referring to manufacturer's instructions.

- Remove packaging
- Transfer faggots & sauce into a similar size microwaveable dish and cover with a loose fitting lid.
- Heat on full power for 10 minutes
- Stir the sauce & turn the faggots over with a fork & replace lid.
- Heat on full power for 8 mins
- Allow to stand for 1 min. Stir sauce before serving.

N.B. For different power ovens, adjust the heating time accordingly.

I had this product on numerous occasions when I was a child staying at my grandmothers. Served with creamy mash and peas, it was the ultimate comfort food and I was so looking forward to trying it again. What can I say? I wanted so much to enjoy it but, just like another reviewer, I HAD to throw it all away. What happened? I was a fussy eater as a child and would never even have eaten this stuff, much less enjoyed it and had fond memories of it. What a shame.

Disgusting and bin-able

I never throw food away if I can help it, but these were thrown in the bin after first mouthful. I have eaten homemade faggots in the past and they can be very tasty, but you would find it hard to buy the ingredients these days for traditional faggots.

bit too salty but still tasty

Childhood favourite. A little bit too salty but this is overcome if mashed potato is the accompaniment. Previous reviews have mentioned nothing like pork meatballs, faggots are not meatballs, they are faggots, these contain pig organs not just the meat, as shown in the ingredients so of course they're not going to have the texture of meat. Plenty of gravy so no need to worry that you might need more. Only 4 stars due to saltyness.

After trying a few bites it went straight in the bin. The smell reminded of when you open a tin to feed your pet. Taste wasnt better either. Consistency was way too soft. Worst thing Ive eaten since long.

First timers - never again!

This was one of those impulse buys for a family that have never tried faggots and thought we'd give them a go after all the nostalgic memories people have of them. I have to say - never again! I'm sure people who have had faggots before will find these fine. The idea sounds great - pork meatballs in gravy - but we were not expecting the awfully soft fatty slop that it was. The meatballs are really very soft - not like meat at all, more like congealed meat fat - a spoon slices straight through and there is nothing to chew. The gravy was very salty and again looked very unappealing. Each to their own and that, but for us this smelt, looked and tasted like cheap dog food. Think I'll make my own pork balls in gravy - I'm sure that would be a lot nicer than this.
