Natoora Italian Round Aubergine
Product Description
The round aubergine is a similar variety to the more traditional long, black aubergine. Far meatier, with less seeds and an incomparable flavour, we regard it in higher esteem. Grown primarily in Sicily, its shape makes for easier peeling and grilling. A fantastic vegetable, aubergine is excellent when paired with tomatoes, cheese, garlic and middle eastern spices.

Excellent
I ordered two and they were probably about the size of 1 1/2 regular aubergines and there weren't many seeds which was good!

Nothing special
A good vegetable it made a great curry. However, apart from being a different shape, i did not find it any better than traditional eggplant variety.

Now this is a proper eggplant!
When "sweated" hardly any water came out, which meant no indigestion for us! I breaded slices for eggplant parmesan, and baked in the oven rather than fried & the slices held up beautifully & browned on both sides. The eggplant parm came out great too! Have bought on several occasions & will continue to buy again!

Wonderful
Amazing when you first see one of these huge globes! It's more than the size, though. They're tasty, not at all bitter, ideal for any sort of aubergine recipe. I think they have far fewer seeds than conventional aubergines. They'll be my choice from now on.

Great aubergine.
These are wonderful - buy them a lot. They are superior to 'regular' aubergines for most dishes, great in slices, dry fried and filled. Paler and firmer with less seeds, also last a long time in the fridge. My one gripe is that they do vary in size from a football - yehey - to the size of a tennis ball.
