the most amazing aubergine
Best flavour Ive ever had from any aubergine. A real pleasure to eat. Huge portion
so good!
Felt like a lot to spend on an aubergine, but this was next level! Dense flesh, very fresh, and an almost sweet taste. I sliced and roasted with a very little olive oil, for about 30 mins, and ate as it was - really very good.
Just wonderful
I bought this aubergine on a flash sale. I'd never seen these before. I've always loved aubergines but this was on another level. After trying this variety of aubergine I don't think I'll ever want to eat anything else. The texture is perfect. It produces a very "meaty" dish.
Great aubergines
Consistently good: hardly any seeds, low water content, no bitterness, thin peel. Hence no need to pre-salt and drain these aubergines before cooking.
Dense and delicious
I bought this in a flash sale and was concerned that it would be too small. It wasnt. A very good size and very tasty. I might struggle justifying paying full price as really I would need two to feed my family (perpetually hungry teenagers) but I will definitely buy again.
Delicious!
Preferable to regular aubergine, just a shame it's so expensive. Not bitter at all, we really enjoyed it.
