works GREAT with fish

Love to use this in cooking with fish, in chowder or as a sauce, the nuttiness taste really complements fish and it feels much lighter than the dairy cream.

Dairy Free cupboard staple!

This is an amazingly versatile product. I've used it to make fish pie, risotto, creamy sauces for pasta as well as pouring over desserts. It is fantastic! I don't eat dairy, but my family do. My husband is usually unimpressed with any 'pretending' food, but asks for my oatly fish pie all the time! I just add some stock powder to the cream and poach my fish in it, thicken it up, top with mashed potato and voila. It's amazing! A definite Vegan/Non Dairy essential!!

Not bad

Good creamy consistency but, like the Oatly milk, this has a hint of an oaty taste, and otherwise no flavour at all. It's ok, but I wouldn't buy this again in a hurry. Regarding the Palm Oil issue, I emailed the company directly so that I wasn't jumping to my own conclusion and this is what they said... ''Thank you for your recent enquiry through the Oatly website with regards their cream product and the ingredient, Palm Oil. I can confirm that Oatly use organic palm oil. At the moment, there is no commercially available palm oil from a sustainable source. Oatly buy their palm oil from a supplier called AAK which is a co-found of RSPO, Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil. RSPO is an organisation who work for a sustainable handling of palm oil from the fields to the producers. Oatly's supplier guarantees that the palm oil they buy, comes from suppliers who are members of RSPO. AAK believes that a palm oil from a sustainable source is commercially available in 2015. In the meantime, Oatly buy Green palm certificate to support the progress of the RSPO work.''

A substitute for coconut milk

I used this in a homemade Thai red curry instead of coconut milk (as my son is allergic to coconut) what a surprise it was great! So glad we can now have red/ green/ Penang curries again. Didn't give 5 stars as I'm not convinced I'd use it for much else.
