Product Description
Ocado Artisan Baguette.
This baguette is made in true artisan fashion using a 50% biga. The biga (flour, water and yeast) is mixed into a dough and then fermented for 16 hours. This is then added to the main dough and mixed again. After further resting the dough is gently cut into a baguette shape. The result is a classic bread with an open texture, slightly acidic flavour, and a thin crisp crust.
Great as it comes or as a meal accompaniment. For best results refresh in the oven for five to seven minutes at 200ºC to recreate that classic fresh baguette taste and smell.
Our bread is made with British flour.

Best supermarket baguette
I often buy this baguette and I think it's the best supermarket baguette I've come across. It's crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and doesn't fall apart when cutting.

Absolutely Delicious
I have to confess I was dubious about ordering this product given the poor reviews but I wasn't disappointed. I did what it tells you to do on the packaging and heated it up quickly in the oven. It crisped up nicely and was one of the most delicious baguettes I have had - delicious with loads of butter YUM! Give it a go you wont be disappointed if you follow the heating instructions

Very disappointing
This sounds like it should be lovely, but it really isn't. Has all the flavour of cardboard. Best avoided.

Hideous bread
I know it's hard to find decent baguettes in the UK, but this is totally unacceptable. It tastes so fake, rubbery nearly. The fact you actually have to heat the bread to eat it is bad enough, but the worst thing by a mile is the salt level. Eat some of this and your daily salt level will not only reach 6g but carry on flying past it. DO NOT BUY especially don't buy two like I did

Disappointing
We had two of these and both lacked a depth of flavour. They were also quite soft, which surprised me as I expected them to be crusty.
