Product Description
Ocado Growing Thyme Pot.
Thyme is a very fragrant, small-leafed & woody-stemmed herb. It is frequently used in Mediterranean, Italian and Provençal French recipes.
It is ideal with lamb, poultry and tomatoes, and is perfect used in soups, stews, stocks and sauces.
Other herbs with which thyme combines well with include rosemary, marjoram, parsley, oregano and bay leaf.
Whole sprigs of fresh thyme may be used when roasting meats and poultry or vegetables, but because of their tough, woody stems, the sprigs should be removed before serving.
The tiny leaves are easily removed from the stems by pulling the stems through your fingers from top to bottom, against the direction of the stems. Six average sprigs will yield about a tablespoon of leaves.
If just the leaves are used, they can be given a quick chop or simply added to the recipe whole. The leaves may also be lightly crushed before adding them, which releases the volatile, flavourful oils.

Care Instructions:
Watering the herbs from the bottom is the key to keeping them healthy and to prolonging their life. Your herbs have always been watered from below so by keeping to this regime you will extend the life of the plant.
Remove the herb pots from their sleeves and place the pots in the tray. By placing water at the bottom of the tray you can always see how much water your plants have taken up. Generally water little and often and never keep your plant in standing water

growing nicely!
I planted this immediately, and even though it's been a bit frosty, it has survived and thrived in my herb garden. I haven't used it to cook with yet as I want it to get more established first.

Ave to poor
Taste is good but pointless having such a small pot. Only enough for a couple of meals. Better off buying a bag of cut thyme. Go to the garden centre!

Bear in mind this is a small herb pot but very fresh tasty and lasting indefinitely despite my watering neglect

Really healthy plant with plenty of roots. Well protected in a box when delivered not like other supermarket delivery companies who usually throw the plant at the bottom of your shopping bag...very pleased with this product!
