I hate to say it but...
This Norwegian salmon is far better than the Scottish farmed and Ive bought every variant to check. This has no muddy taste, firmer texture, clean on the palate with a less gunky veins of fat through the flesh, truly fresh tasting and one of the very few items I now prefer to the Waitrose versions. It makes fabulous sushi and a friend who 'doesn't like salmon' is now a convert as it didn't have 'that fishy pong'. I've barbequed it, poached it, fried it, baked it and gravadlaxed it - 100% every time. Cmon Scotland catch up please!

Tough!
I didn't think much of these! Cooked them in the microwave for only half the time they said on the packet and they were tough as old boots. Imagine what they would have been like had I cooked them for the full time stated. Don't bother. Buy the real thing, pop in the oven in foil with butter and squeeze of lemon. 20mins should do it.

Good value!
Really nice taste.Only bad thing was that the packaging was not air tight around the fish, but I cooked it the same day I got it. Did not have any scales. I always remove the skin and it was easily done on this fish. Would by it again, really good value for this price.

Fantastic
Leaving the scales on moves the descaling task to the customer, but serves to keep the price down so its a chore that makes me feel virtuous. Descale, portion, freeze. Out in the morning into homemade teriyaki sauce in tupperware container, and we be defrosted and also marinated by the time I am home in the evening. Delicious fish.
