Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 1 day.

Do not exceed the Use By date.

This product may have been previously frozen and has been restored to chill temperature under carefully controlled conditions. Defrosted it is still suitable for home freezing.

Freeze on or before the Use By date and use within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly before use. Once defrosted do not refreeze and use within 1 day.

Instructions

Cooking Instructions:
Remove all packaging. Wash hands, all surfaces and utensils after touching raw fish. Keep raw fish separate from cooked foods.

Oven Cook:
Preheat oven to 190ºC / Fan 170ºC / Gas Mark 5. Place on a baking tray in the middle of a preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes.

Alternatively, sear both sides in 1-2 tbsp of hot oil in a frying pan before placing in the oven.

Microwave:
800W - 2 mins.
650W - 2 1/2 mins.

Place one fillet on a microwaveable plate, cover loosely and select appropriate time for your microwave. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.

beautiful poached

We poach this in white wine vinegar, water, lemon and capers. It's absolutely divine, and so quick to cook. It's also wonderful cold the next day with dill sauce from the jar. I'm so impressed.

I hate to say it but...

This Norwegian salmon is far better than the Scottish farmed and Ive bought every variant to check. This has no muddy taste, firmer texture, clean on the palate with a less gunky veins of fat through the flesh, truly fresh tasting and one of the very few items I now prefer to the Waitrose versions. It makes fabulous sushi and a friend who 'doesn't like salmon' is now a convert as it didn't have 'that fishy pong'. I've barbequed it, poached it, fried it, baked it and gravadlaxed it - 100% every time. Cmon Scotland catch up please!

Tough!

I didn't think much of these! Cooked them in the microwave for only half the time they said on the packet and they were tough as old boots. Imagine what they would have been like had I cooked them for the full time stated. Don't bother. Buy the real thing, pop in the oven in foil with butter and squeeze of lemon. 20mins should do it.
