My diced beef contained a main artery!
I have now made over 4 complaints about this diced beef, and have asked Ocado to look into it and the issues I’ve had , on a couple of purchases, on opening the item , I thought id been sold the remainders of a shark attack, there was more skin attached to the meat , than there was meat , totally vile! On the worst pack I purchased , my dinner for friends turned into a frenzy, when, one friend, had to spit out a diced beef piece, which then caused a mass evacuation of the table to find it before the bulldog got it, the beef in question contained a large main artery, from the poor beasts heart ,it was sickening, This time we actually sent Ocado a musical movie with the e Mail, containing the elvis song of I GOT LUCKY. I would have let you guys hear it but no way to attach it to this. I’ve never eaten meat ever myself, but this factory has to be reported as it’s not fit for anyone’s consumption. I love Ocado, but this item is suffocating their good reputation,
very tough
Tough meat. I cooked for about an hour and a half in a stew. Quite tough still even after that length of time. Flavour ok.
watery
Loads of water when cooking, small pieces. These used to be better. Annoying though that Ocado doesnt sell many alternatives so I feel like I have to buy this beef at times.
Just dont
No flavour, pours water. Unfortunately no decent braising steak available on Ocado
Really Tough And Full Of Water
You can't sear this beef before casseroling it, because it's so full of water that it just sweats and boils until it's half the size, rather than browning and sealing as it should do. The result is that however long you casserole it, even in beer or wine (which usually helps with tough meat), it's nasty, stringy and chewy. This isn't cheap beef, so it really is a rip-off as it simply isn't edible, even when cooked for hours in the hope that it might become tender. If I had a dog, it might have eaten it, but I don't, so I just had to chuck it and I really resent wasting food, energy and money.
tough - had to throw away
First tried in a stew and was so tough and fatty I had to throw out. Tried again in a slow cooker thinking it would make the meat more tender but was still very chewy and tasted old.
