Prepare & Use
This week’s recipe is Sweet Potato and Feta Salad
Slice 500g sweet potatoes and simmer in salted water for about 5 mins, until just becoming tender (don’t forget they cook faster than normal spuds). Drain, cool, then toss with 2 tbsp olive oil and season to taste.
Fire up the barbecue or griddle and cook the sweet potato slices for a few mins each side, turning carefully, until tender and very chargrilled.
Toss 100g baby spinach, 4 tbsp pine nuts and 1 red onion cut into wedges. Scatter over a large serving platter and top with 200g crumbled feta cheese.
Whisk together 3 tbsp balsamic, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp clear honey and 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard. Season well. Pile the sweet potato onto the platter and drizzle with the dressing.

Fantastic
I love these boxes. I have never had anything mouldy or inedible. The standard is really high and I look forward to the new box each week. Have had veg boxes from other suppliers and these are far better. Never been disappointed.

disappointed
I had naively assumed that the content of the box would have been produced locally, i.e. UK or Europe if not available from UK. So I was disappointed to find bananas from Dom Rep and butternut squash from Argentina, which had apparently come via France, which was listed on the box label as country of origin. Also, not all the produce was fresh, cauliflower wilted, 2 of the mandarines were mouldy. I guess this may have been because I ordered the box for the last day before the new content, but still not good enough...

Overall a bit of a disaster
Potatoes wet.turnips with black mouldy edges.cauliflower black mouldy top. Beans floppy. Missing fennel.split tomatoes. Wilted salad. Overall poor quality. Had to make a trip out to buy some veg elsewhere. Ocado have refunded no probs. the veg boxes are rarely top quality and aren't cheap. But ,in principle, I love the idea and wish it would work.

What to eat for health
I buy this regularly and recommend it to family, friends and patients. It is always good quality, and I love the way the surprise of what is there and seasonal stimulates my creativity in cooking as well as preparing salads. However, I have a backlog of onions, which I don't find so digestible, so today I have selected 12 single items, with several offers, and they have totted up to just under £22, so I think that compares reasonably. I don't usually bother to check what is coming in the box, so have never worried about 'substitution', but I would like a box that was onion free and had more greens.

Very disappointed
The best before was just a day away from the date of delivery - once I opened the box the potatoes were a little soft and the bananas overripe, pears bruised and oranges soft at the ends. I feel this was a box that they had to get shot of quickly - will not buy this again - I won't make the same mistake twice!!!!
