How to Prepare an Avocado:
1. Cut all the way around the avocado stone.
2. Twist the 2 halves of the avocado apart.
3. Use a spoon to scoop out the stone.
4. Score along the skin and peel off in strips.

When they are ripe they are very good.....
....but sometimes they are not so they have to be left a few days. So you cannot rely on them if you need them on the day of purchase.

After a week avocado still like rocks! Doesn't meet definition of 'ready to eat'!

Inedible
When these arrived they were too hard to eat, so I left them on the counter for a few days. Next time I checked-within the week-they were completely mouldy and I had to sling them. Will be going back to trusty Waitrose ones.

These are a gamble, we know they are a gamble.... Avos are delicate temperamental fruit fro across the other side of the world. Super chuffed as this week two were perfecto. I usually store them with my bananas if they are a little hard - the natural gases and warmth of the room help speed up ripening.
