This Classic English bread is made using the traditional 'sponge and dough' method. A fermented dough is added back to the main dough to produce a good flavour and a crisp crust.

Great for doorstep sandwiches, toast or on its own with jam and butter.

Our bread is made with British flour.

Horrible bread, not fresh as you would think and tasted almost stale. Not impressed at all!

Perfectly fine

I've had the good, the bad and the truly awful, I've tried them all. Mass produced white pap, wholemeal that is anything but and 'artisan' bread that on the second day chewing through the crust has threatened a visit to the dentist. This is a nice tasty little loaf and the first I've eaten in months cut straight from the loaf, spread with butter, without having to toast it first. It is moist but without that dreadful claggyness of so many other main bread brands, Bread that sticks to the roof of my mouth is an abomination. At 80p a loaf current price, I am very pleased to have found this.
