disappointing
You need to cook them for ages to get the stalks to soften. But then the tips get completely overcooked!

Generous quantity and good to eat
I have bought this several times and it is a favourite. The quantity is generous for the money, it keeps well and it is good to eat. I tend to trim the very bottom of the stalks with a diagonal cut, and it has always been uniformly tender.

Great if you like caterpillars
Brocolli is actually Ok, although sometimes a bit woody, but I do not really appreciate the little green caterpillars crawling around in it. The product should be rinsed in salt based water before packaging to remove any creepy crawlies. Will not be buying again!

stems not tender
Very disappointing-several stems were not at all tender so there was a lot of waste. Poor value.

Although originally a breakfast dish - hailing from colonial India - this flavoursome rice salad is fantastic any time of the day. To add more colour try a mix of different lentils.

Chicken, Peanut, Sugar Snap and Basil Stir-Fry
Stir fries are really wonderful to get into making. They are quick and you can really up your intake of veggies without it seeming like a chore. I suggest getting all of the ingredients together first and then it takes about 10 minutes cooking to be on the plate. Chillies boost the metabolism and the lime and basil make it a flavour packed dinner. By Sophie Michell

Richard Buckley’s Tenderstem, Horseradish, Pink Lady Apple and Toasted Hazelnut Salad
Richard Buckley, head chef at award-winning vegetarian restaurant Demuths, says: "This recipe is really quick and a great example of vegetables as comfort food - it's sweet, satisfying and tangy. Tenderstem works perfectly because it's got all the depth of flavour of broccoli but a lovely, asparagus-like juiciness. Try to use Pink Lady apples as their juicy sweetness and floral aroma will raise this to another level. This will make a great starter or simple double the quantities for a delicious main course. Cooking the Tenderstem this quickly locks in the flavour and emphasises its natural, succulent freshness."

Fresh but taste and texture all wrong
These arrived as a substitution and a rare miss for Ocado branded stuff. They were fresh, but the taste was somewhere between insipid and bitter, and the texture between stringy and mushy. Worst of all worlds. For your money go with the Waitrose organic ones.
