After a quick rince under the tap these are ready to slice and cook. I used them in a soup and a stew and they lasted really well and were very tasty. I would certainly buy them again

Nice Leeks But Clean? I Think Not!!

Leeks good quality and a sensible, quite even size. But amazed at reviews that said they are CLEAN. Okay, no mud but, as I was slicing and found knife was rapping over surface of board, they are riddled with very fine sand. A good rinse and they were fine.....

Pretty good!

We've been buying these instead of the superb Waitrose leeks since they've been on BOGOF and have been pleasantly surprised. Maybe we've been lucky but all our purchases have been of good quality and lasted well. Ok, they're not as perfect looking, long lasting, or clean as the Waitrose ones, but they're not far off so on BOGOF we've been very happy indeed. With so many leeks about we've been making a lot of easy soup - just chop and sweat one of these, a carrot and a potato for 15 minutes in some butter and black pepper, add 500ml veg stock for another 30 minutes and whizz in the blender. Dollop of cream and yum! Also lovely lightly fried and stirred into mash.

Great quality - no waste

Excellent quality, clean, no coloured leaves and very flavoursome. Made the best ever leek and potato soup.

Long lasting and delicious

We used these in homemade soups and lightly boiled and served with butter and they have a lovely rich full flavour. They kept for five days with no deterioration and were excellent in all ways.
