The second release of Penfolds Bin 311 is from Tumbarumba. Many years of fruit selection from this alpine area confirmed it as an ideal fruit source from the outstanding 2006 vintage.

Bin 311 Chardonnay is sourced from a single region. Each year a selection will be made from a region to best reflect this Bin 311 style. This invokes regionality and vintage character, with minimal oak influence maintaining 'house style'.

Well below par

Like the other review, I was quite shocked at the poor quality of this wine. Bland, boring, lifeless... at 15 quid a bottle this is an appalling choice for a fine producer like Penfolds.
