These pears are very nice, juicy and ripe. We enjoyed them very much.

What a rotten pear
On arrival these pears were smothered in dark brown patches. Cutting into them revealed the state of decay rendering them pretty well inedible. Do not buy!

Perfectly ripe?
'Overripe and unappealing' would be more appropriate. These arrived with soft brown spots and streaks and could only be eaten if you first sliced off these bits. By the next day they were totally brown and squishy and went in the bin. I can see why they put so much packing on - it's needed to protect such soft fruit. But the packing in itself is a lot of waste..
