Fresh from 180°C / 160°C fan / 350°F / Gas mark 4 for 25 minutes.

Lovely pastry, tasteless filling

I'm vegetarian and thought I'd try this as my husband loves the meaty free ranger and the deer stalker pies by the same company. Very disappointed. Filling was tasteless. Couldn't even taste the goats cheese. Think I'll stick with the Higgidy veggie pies.

My husband said don't buy him it again

Attractive looking, beautifully formed pie, the top scattered with sesame seeds. As with each of these pies we have tried so far the pastry was excellent and crisp. However the filling in this one was so non-descript my husband could not even detect what it was made of at all. He loves vegetarian food, and his favourite is goats cheese and red onion ravioli, but this pie was tasteless in the extreme. We are going to try each of these pies over time and hope to find some that are as good as they look. Improving the EATING QUALITY, particularly of the pie filling, should surely be the firms priority.
