Hob
Allow approximately 50g oats per person. Place oats in a small saucepan and add 350ml of cold water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously. Add sugar and salt to taste. Alternatively, milk may be used instead of water.
Microwave oven
Microwave ovens vary. Refer to handbook. Place 50g of oats per person in a large microwaveable bowl and stir in 350ml of water or milk. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Add sugar or salt to taste.

Healthy, tasty and cheap
This is a great product. Mixed with sunflower seeds, pumpkins seeds, raisins and other dried fruit it makes a wonderful muesli at a fraction of the cost of ready-made ones and with a fraction of the added sugar. Wouldn't be without it!

nice product but could have recylable packaging
A good quality product which I always have in the cupboard. I use it to make my own muesli plus it's handy to have for baking and of course porridge although I have only occasionally made porridge with it :) I often add some kind of bran to recipes myself so it makes it easy to have wheatbran already added. I also buy the Essentials plain porridge oats which I'd recommend as well.

Tasty
I use these to make porridge and also flapjack (I include the Waitrose dark chocolate chunks which are scrummy). The added wheatbran makes you feel like you're doing your body some good (thereby offsetting the damage caused by the chocolate chunks!)

Great value
I have recently bought this as my usual big brand porridge has become too sweet. I decided to try this and add the golden syrup myself. It's amazing! Very tasty and extra filling with the added bran and so much cheaper too. I find it microwaves just as good as my previous brand.
