So many choices...
...so I decided to buy every tomato they sell, there are sweeter, slightly tastier tomatoes with thinner skins, mainly the smaller cherry tiny baby ones but these are the stand out best tasting ones without paying over the odds

Poor quality mushy tomatoes
Received these on13th April with a best before date of 16 April. Used them immediately and were already mushy, tasteless and well past their best. Extremely disappointed at such poor quality from Waitrose.

could do better
We really love good tomatoes and these could be. However some weeks the packers put them in the chiller bags. Then, as in this case, when they have thawed out the cell structure is so damaged that they turn soft and rotten in 2 days. So not really worth buying the best if they are inedible - shame!

Good and tasty, and they keep well.
One of the reasons I buy these, besides the taste, is that on a stone shelf in a cool pantry they usually keep for ages longer than other tomatoes, so you can have them as emergency ones if you run out of cherry vine or Pome dei Moro or whatever.
