Originating in the pastures of the traditional breeding grounds and made from unpasteurised milk, the Brie de Meaux cheese must be moulded by hand, like old times. Refined, this cheese takes on a warm ivory colour to give it a characteristic flavour which develops over time and this is why it was crowned the “King of Cheeses”.

Not great
I normally get the Waitrose Brie de Meaux, which is always ripe and gorgeous but this was on offer so I went for it. What a mistake - unripe, odd texture and over-powering 'mouldy' taste...I should have listened to the other reviewers!

Very dry, not nice at all
I bought this product after reading other good reviews. I was disappointed with the quality. The cheese I received was very dry and not creamy at all. Even when left out of the fridge for a while it never becomes runny. The texture is almost unripe, brittle.

terrible
This piece of Brie was the consistency of rubber, with a similar taste. It just never ripened. This is an expensive brand and is nearly always of low quality. I won't be buying Reflets again. I only gave it one star because I had to to write a review, it doesn't deserve any.
