Product Description
Duck Grillon from South West France
From the South West of France, the duck grillons (or rillons) were made by our ancestors to use up the leftovers from duck dishes which characterise the regional gastronomy. After cooking the confits, small pieces of meat and melted fat residue left at the bottom of the pot with added salt, pepper and garlic were left to simmer for several hours before being drained, pressed and placed in a terrine ready to serve as a starter.

Not exceptional
Good texture, slightly low on flavour, had better but not bad.

Good but not special
Ingredients list is misleading. It seems to be made from 99% duck meat cooked in fat. Texture was good, you can see the pieces of meat, flavour rich but quite tasty. We got it on the launch offer so it was reasonable, but rather pricey otherwise.
