Skimmed, pasteurised, left to mature and the whole milk is then churned. The Guerande salt is then added during this process. Its high quality flavour means that there is nothing else like it.

Beautiful butter

I am a great fan of salted butter so this is perfect for me.I am now a regular buyer. There are some things worth spending a few extra pennies on and this butter is one of them.

Perceptible salt crystals

As per others, this is a little too salty for me. It might be good for cooking with, however what makes it unpleasant for everyday use on toast, croissants etc, is the fact that the salt crystals are perceptible - as tiny, crunchy bits every now and again. Also, I was hoping this would be the delicious white butter that you get in France, and which I can't find it anywhere here - but it isn't, it's yellow

Good but Very Salty!

This is an excellent butter BUT beware that it is 3% SALT as opposed to the more usual UK 1.4% salt. I should have noted that before using it in a Bernaise Sauce recipe as it made the sauce noticeably too salty. If you want the high salt content it is excellent, but it does not suit all recipes.

The perfect butter

I have tried many butters to find the perfect one. They are either too greasy, or not salty enough, or even too salty. This one is perfect. Very creamy with just the right amount of salt.

Don't get me wrong

This butter is good,but over-priced.It's not superior to Waitrose own brand.
