Excellent for entertaining

Despite the previous review, we went ahead and bought this product... much to our delight! I has a lovely texture and great taste, and on our third order! Its also a great store cupboard reserve in case friends drop round unannonced as you can quickly rustle up a tasty snack with a glass of your favourite tipple. Well worth it! We also bought the Sardine rillettes which were great as well.

Really dreadful

Having had the pork rilletts which were great i was so looking forward to the Mackerel. It was truly horrid. No delicious rich mackerel flavour - I could only taste whatever dressing they'd mixed with it. It was also very 'heavy', as if I'd put the fish in a food processor and over processed it. Never again! I've had to give it one star - I'm not allowed to give it nothing...
