Brioche Loaf from Vendée Hand-plaited Pure Butter
Since the Middle Ages families from the Vendee region who live in the country have been making the “Gache” brioche loaf with breadcrumbs in the form of bread for Easter. In the 19th century the job of the baker became more general in rural France. These artisans changed the recipe and presentation of the brioche by plaiting it.
This lighter plaited brioche then became the cake for all celebrations. 20kg and 30kg brioches are still made to celebrate the traditional “Brioche Dance” to celebrate weddings in the Vendee region.

Hint of rum!
It's soft and moist, very nice brioche. Soon became our favourite! It has a little rum in it. The other brioche of this brand is also nice if you don't want rum in it.

good toasted
Enjoyed this but if I am very picky I would say perhaps rather too sweet.

Best Brioche Ever!
Lovely brioche, the best I have ever had. When you open the packet it smells gorgeous! Nice toasted with some blackcurrant jam.

Best bought brioche available
Yes, it is expensive, but it is HUGE and lasts very well once opened. Lovely toasted but my favourite is just a nice thick slice or two! spread with unsalted butter and apricot conserve. Also makes great bread and butter pud with the tail ends
